About the Project

 

The media space has become part of our lives since the 2000s, but especially in the lives of young people born practically in the digital age. The increasing popularity of online media and social media channels have revolutionized the way that society, now perceived as global, communicates, interacts and shares information and opinions. Given this aspect, in addition to the positive aspects of the media channels, we must be aware of the negative effects that these can have on us, as individuals, but also as a society.

Participant’s profile:

  • Has between 18 and 25 years old;
  • Has Romanian or Hungarian Nationality or Residency;
  • At the time of the event, the participant does NOT benefit from any other type of Erasmus + financing, i.e. is not an EVS / ESC volunteer or an Erasmus scholarship student;
  • Is motivated to participate in this youth exchange and are interested in the proposed topic;
  • Present desire for civic and involvement;
  • Assume that they will share with others the knowledge, attitudes and abilities learned, and that they will be actively involved in all stages of the project.

Group leaders:

  • 18+ years old
  • Have interpersonal and communication skills, team spirit, strategic thinking oriented to results;
  • Promote a positive attitude at the group level;
  • Have coordination, planning and organization skills;
  • Have an advanced level of English;
  • Have experience in volunteering, non-formal education and youth;
  • Have competences to evaluate the learning process of young people.

Costs:

1. The participation costs (accommodation, food, materials etc.) will be covered by the organisers. Also, the transportation will be reimbursed according with the attached Info-pack and Erasmus+ regulations (maximum 275 euro/participant for Romanians). 

2. The selected candidates must advance the amounts necessary to cover the transport costs to the place of the course, using the cheapest means of transportation: flight ticket (economy class, low cost), train ticket (2nd class), bus etc.

3. An amount of 25 euro will be perceived by the sending organisation as a co-financing of the participant to the project.

Selection:

In the process of selection will prevail:

  • Fitting in the participants’ profile;
  • Motivation and desire to participate;
  • Gender balance.

The selection results will be sent by email to all candidates at the latest 1 May 2020.

The selection process will be coordinated by each partner organisation, namely:

  • Euroactive NGO for the Romanian participants;
  • The Bettermaking Ifjúsági Alapítvány for the Hungarian participants.

Number: 5 participants + 1 group leader (18+ years old)
