In Search of Clear Skies – Project Experience
From 26th of June to 2nd of July 2026, a group of six young people from Romania took part in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “In Search of Clear Skies”, coordinated by Association Pozitiva Samobor within the project “Between Screens and Stars.”
The activity brought together sixteen participants from Croatia, North Macedonia and Romania at Greenville Eco Farm, near Samobor. The project was designed for young people aged 13 to 17, an age group that is still less frequently represented in Erasmus+ youth exchanges. For Euroactive, this was an important opportunity to support younger teenagers in taking part in an international project, many of them for the first time.
The programme focused on mental health, digital well-being and the relationship between young people, technology and nature. During the seven days, participants took part in creative workshops, outdoor team challenges, reflection sessions, a city exploration activity in Samobor and a full-day hike in the Samoborsko Gorje area.
The exchange also included an intercultural evening, during which each national group presented elements of its culture, traditions and everyday life. At the end of the programme, participants took part in a Youthpass session and reflected on what they had learned, the skills they had developed and the experiences they wanted to take home.
For the Romanian participants, the project was not only an opportunity to travel, but also a first step into an international learning environment.

A first step towards more international experiences
For many of the participants, this was one of their first international projects. It gave them the chance to travel, use English in real situations, meet people their age from other countries and learn outside the classroom.
We encourage more young people to apply for Erasmus+ opportunities, even when the experience feels unfamiliar at first. Go, explore new places, meet new people and allow yourself to learn from situations you would not encounter at home.
