Our project aims to revitalize rural communities in Romania, Italy, and Germany by fostering intergenerational connections and empowering marginalized youth. The 3 local cases (Aosta, Curtea de Argeș, Mühlberg) show the need to regenerate the community foundations already in place, connecting the young people and seniors, and empowering & engaging young people into local participation.
Recognizing the challenges faced by young people in isolated rural areas, including limited opportunities, lack of infrastructure, and social barriers, the project seeks to reverse these trends by fostering intergenerational connections, mutual learning and empowerment of young people.
This mobility is just a small part of our project, the purpose of it being to exchange best practices to foster inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and their empowerment & engagement in community building; to evaluate together the effectiveness of the developed framework and how it can be adapted to different EU contexts; to prepare the local activities based on the developed framework, ensuring a focus on inclusion.
