Imagine a place where your love for movies meets your passion for making a difference. That’s what “MoviMent” is all about! it’s a journey we’re embarking on together to shake things up with the power of film. We believe everyone has a story worth telling, and we’re here to give you the tools, skills, and stage to share yours with the world.

The project goal is to equip young people with the digital competencies required to effectively communicate their visions and influence societal change through the medium of film.

Specific Objectives:

• To develop the digital skills of participants, focusing on film production, digital storytelling, and multimedia content creation. This includes mastering the techniques of scripting, shooting, editing, and distributing films, thereby enabling participants to articulate their narratives with impact and creativity.
• To raise awareness about social, environmental, or community-specific issues by producing 6 short movies that specifically target these themes. By doing so, “MoviMent” aims to articulate the discourse around such topics, promoting more informed and active citizens who are ready to engage in constructive dialogue and advocacy.
• To create an inclusive environment that facilitates collaboration, networking, and cultural exchange among young people from diverse backgrounds. This objective seeks to break down barriers, foster mutual understanding, and cultivate a community of young creative people who support and inspire one another in their efforts to make a difference.

Participant’s profile:

• Has between 16 and 25 years old;
• Is from Arges county;
• Has Romanian Nationality or Valid Residence Permit in Romania;
• Has an interest in storytelling, filmmaking, and digital media. You should be curious about exploring social, environmental, or community issues through the lens of a camera and eager to express your ideas creatively.
• Is motivated to participate in this youth exchange;
• Is open to diversity and interculturality;
• Assume that they will share with others the knowledge, attitudes and abilities learned, and that they will be actively involved in all stages of the project.

Number: 4 participants (16 – 25 years old)

The selection results will be sent by email to all candidates at the latest 30.04.2024.

Costs:

1. The participation costs (accommodation, food, materials etc.) will be covered by the organizers.

2. The selected candidates must cover the amounts necessary for the transport costs to the place of the course.

Application procedure:

1. Carefully read through the info-pack and participant contract to make sure you understand the project details and requirements.

2. Complete the application form with accurate and complete information. We strongly advise you to fill out the application form by yourself and to be honest and original in your responses. The purpose of the application is to get to know you better and to understand why you are interested in our project. It is important that your application reflects your own thoughts and ideas.

3. Submit your application before the deadline. Please note that late applications may not be considered.

4. After the application deadline has passed, we will notify you of the results by email. Please check your email regularly and also your spam folder in case our email gets filtered there.

5. If you are selected to participate in the project, you will be required to sign the participant contract within 3 days and send it back to us via email. Please read the contract carefully and ensure that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions before signing.

6. Once you have completed all the necessary steps, you will be ready to participate in the project. We will provide you with all the additional instructions or guidelines to ensure that you have a successful and enjoyable experience.
