Youth Exchange

About the Project

 

Through this project, we want to contribute to reducing the level of social exclusion, stereotyping and discrimination, using photography and promotion of European values.
With this in mind, we set the following objectives:
1. A better understanding of the European values;
2. Develop young people photographic skills;
3. Increase awareness about the effects of social exclusion;
4. Hold a Photography Exhibition with social impact in Szentes.

Participant’s profile:

  • Has between 18 and 25 years old;
  • Has Romanian or Hungarian Nationality or Residency;
  • At the time of the event, the participant does NOT benefit from any other type of Erasmus + financing, i.e. is not an EVS / ESC volunteer or an Erasmus scholarship student;
  • Presents knowledge / interest for photography;
  • Is motivated to participate in this youth exchange and are interested in the proposed topic;
  • Present desire for civic and involvement;
  • Is open to diversity and interculturality;
  • Assume that they will share with others the knowledge, attitudes and abilities learned, and that they will be actively involved in all stages of the project.

Group leaders:

  • No age limit;
  • Have interpersonal and communication skills, team spirit, strategic thinking oriented to results;
  • Promote a positive attitude at the group level;
  • Have coordination, planning and organization skills;
  • Have an advanced level of English;
  • Have experience in volunteering, non-formal education and youth;
  • Have competences to evaluate the learning process of young people.

Costs:

1. The participation costs (accommodation, food, materials etc.) will be covered by the organisers. Also, the transportation will be reimbursed according with the attached Info-pack and Erasmus+ regulations (maximum 180 euro/participant for Romanians). 

2. The selected candidates must advance the amounts necessary to cover the transport costs to the place of the course, using the cheapest means of transportation: flight ticket (economy class, low cost), train ticket (2nd class), bus etc.

3. An amount of 25 euro will be perceived by the sending organisation as a co-financing of the participant to the project.

Selection:

In the process of selection will prevail:

  • Fitting in the participants’ profile;
  • Motivation and desire to participate;
  • Gender balance.

The selection results will be sent by email to all candidates at the latest 1 April 2020.

The selection process will be coordinated by each partner organisation, namely:

  • Euroactive NGO for the Romanian participants;
  • The Bettermaking Ifjúsági Alapítvány for the Hungarian participants.

Number: 5 participants + 1 group leader (18+ years old)
