ROAD TO PARTICIPATION 2025

This opportunity is part of the European Solidarity Corps, an EU programme that gives young people the chance to volunteer abroad, gain experience, and contribute to local communities. ESC projects cover living costs, provide a monthly allowance, and ensure training and support throughout the volunteering period.

For this project, we are looking for motivated young volunteers to support the daily activities of Compañía de María School, attended by children and young people aged 3 to 16.

The project creates a space where volunteers can grow personally and professionally while making a real difference in the local community. Volunteers will integrate into school life, support educational activities, and foster youth participation.

Participant’s profile:

• Aged 18–30 years old (ESC eligibility rule);

• Citizens or legal residents of Romania;

• Open, curious, and motivated to work with children and young people;

• Willing to contribute to school and community life with creativity and initiative;

• Interested in education, youth participation, and intercultural exchange;

• Responsible, adaptable, and able to work in a team;

• A good knowledge of Spanish or English is appreciated but not required;

• Available for the full 10-month duration of the project.

Volunteer tasks:

• Assist teachers during classes;
• Create and lead workshops;
• Support children and youth with special needs;
• Lead English and French conversation activities;
• Help with dining hall supervision;
• Organize summer camp activities (June–August), including outdoor games and workshops;
• Promote the European Solidarity Corps, Erasmus+, and active citizenship.

Logistic details:

• Accommodation in a shared apartment with other volunteers (separate bedroom, shared kitchen, living room, bathroom, and terrace);

• No need for public transport – everything is within walking distance;

• Monthly allowance: 215 € for food + 185 € pocket money = 400 € total;

• All other expenses are covered by the host organization;

• Puente Genil is well connected to major Andalusian cities.
