Youth and Decision-Makers Discuss Glocal Youth Program – YAMAG project
On the 22nd of November, a round table discussion was held in Albeștii de Argeș to present the Glocal Youth Program. The meeting brought together 7 decision-makers, 2 youth workers, and 21 young people to exchange ideas and foster collaboration on youth initiatives.
Key Discussions
Youth workers introduced the Glocal Youth Program, focusing on its goals to engage young people in community development and decision-making. Decision-makers presented current projects aimed at supporting youth participation and encouraged feedback from attendees.
Young participants raised several issues, including the need for better education on civic responsibilities, improved communication with local authorities, and more opportunities for involvement in governance.
Outcomes
The meeting resulted in:
- Commitments to hold follow-up meetings to evaluate progress.
- Agreement to incorporate youth feedback into local initiatives.
- Plans to organize workshops to enhance civic engagement and leadership skills among young people.
This event highlighted the importance of direct communication between youth and local authorities and set the foundation for continued collaboration.

Built on four guiding principles, it offers concrete activities, youth roles, policy ideas, and program elements inspired by real experiences from Germany, Italy, and Romania, adaptable to diverse local contexts.
